Approaches for high-dimensional spatial data analysis

Speaker: Thomas Ashhurst, PhD, Senior Cytometry Scientist, Sydney Cytometry Core Research Facility, Honorary Research Fellow, Infection, Immunity, and Inflammation, School of Medical Sciences, The University of Sydney

Proper cell segmentation and the ability to quantify spatial data can be enhanced by using the right tools for the task at hand. Ashhurst details options for cell segmentation, visualization, cell classification and data translation using tools like ilastik and Spectre, a new tool for integration, exploration and analysis of high-dimensional single-cell analysis. His guidance covers complex segmentation of non-uniform cell types and how to distinguish co-expression from physical cell layering in samples.
